Our mission
Ultraviolet aims to create AI-powered software to connect Trans and LGBTQ+ people with health care information, support groups, and additional support resources. This software will be accessible through a free app, and website which will be available on all iOS and Android devices. This software aims to provide equitable access to health care and other resources for Trans people living in areas with legislation restricting Trans rights.

THE PROBLEM
Members of the LGBTQ+ community suffer bias, discrimination, mental health issues, and lack of access to healthcare due to their gender/sexual orientation.
Among trans adults, studies have found suicide attempt rates of up to 32 % (Clements-Nolle, Marx, & Katz, 2006).
This project ensures that those who live in states with restrictive legislation can have equitable access to resources, available healthcare, and mental health care.
OUR SOLUTION
We have devised a solution to combat this pressing, bipartisan issue, Project Ultraviolet.

Our AI-powered chatbot, HelloViolet, will be implemented into our mobile app, Ultraviolet, a holistic app that will feature not only the chatbot but other features. These features include a goal-setting program and a digital journal to document mental health for users.

This initiative aims to provide available resources to a vulnerable community, regardless of what legislation affects them or where they live. From healthcare, mental healthcare, or support groups - Ultraviolet aims to create a better quality of life for Trans and LGBTQ+ individuals free-of-cost.
